Today, young people under the age of 35 make up more than one-third of Russian Railways' workforce. Since 2006, the company has been implementing the RZD Youth target program, which is updated every 5 years.

Every year, more than 1,000 events involving more than 210,000 people take place throughout the rail network as part of the implementation of the youth policy. In addition, RZD has a well-developed system of youth councils. Youth associations are active in more than 2,000 railway companies.
